"Mum Help! There's no Marmite in America!" Emily's distress call on arrival to her college in the USA. So now I send "Care Parcels" regularly to top up her Marmite supplies. It is great to see her sharing a bit of her NZ heritage with her American friends. Although I'm not sure they really "get" Marmite. Please bring Emily home for Christmas so she can share Marmite with people who understand. (Emily's Mum.)

Marmite tasting at my 21st birthday in America

At my 21st Birthday celebration in Florida, all the Americans had to try Marmite on crackers - we managed to get this moment from the video footage of Carolina not sure whether to try it! You're a part of my celebrations no matter where I am marmite :)!

Traditionally we have Christmas at my Grandparents' house but the earthquake destroyed it - so we will have to start a new Christmas tradition and the more family around for that, the better!! Thanks Marmite :)

These are some pictures that my grandparents took when they found out Marmite could bring me home.. they really miss me and now that they have lost the house they had for 56 years (My mum grew up there and we spend every Sunday there) they are staying with us. Please send me back to see them for Christmas so we can start a new Christmas tradition - it would be awesome if I could be there for that!

My dearest Emily, it's Opa here. You know Opa is not much good with computers so your Mum is helping me write this to you. I just want to say I think you are a wonderful girl and Opa loves you very much and misses you wery much. I really hope you can come home for Christmas. I am sorry we won't be able to have it in Avonside Drive like usual. But we can go round to Avonside Drive together to say goodbye to the house which has so many happy memories. All my love, Opa.

The smell of Marmite = The smell of home

Right now I am sitting in my dorm room in Florida under my New Zealand flag and about to cook up a Marmite and cheese mousetrap so the smell of home can fill up the room. I really, really miss my family and the cool kiwi things we do especially the family holidays we take going eeling down in the river, eating huhu grubs, barbequing with the cuzzies (who I haven't seen in such a long time) and walking the trails in the hills of the South Island. Here in Florida, there obviously isn't any of that... so please send me home Marmite - I want to do all that kiwi stuff with my family again!!!

Family times in Waianakarua, NZ

If I get to go home for Christmas, I can do this stuff with my family again.. here are a couple of things we like to cook up and do in the good ole kiwi outdoors... hunting for huhu grubs, eating NZ venison, eeling and going tramping in the hills!

Bring my cool cousin home so I can sing with here on Christmas day in the annual family tradition. Also she needs to help me with my tennis and I miss here so much, she's been away in the USA for over three years now. I can't wait to share a MARMITE and cheese mousetrap with her. Miss you Emily xoxoxoxo

Judging

Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.
