Anna Climo - Winner !
Hip, hip – hooray Marmite’s 100!
Dear Marmite, Many happy returns and here’s to another 100 years as New Zealand’s favourite spread. I would love to celebrate Marmite’s 100 years with Christmas with my family in Havelock North. Thank you Marmite and all my dear supporters for such a wonderful competition. Love Anna xx
Marvellous Marmite's Many Uses

Dear Marmite, meet my 5am running bunch, a keen lot, most of whom are training for local Comrades ultra marathon that runs annually between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. The marathon is 80-something kilometres long, so we thought fuelling up on some morning Marmite couldn’t hurt! The aftermath was too messy to publish... *Gijima is Zulu for run

Marmite, please give me a lift in time for Christmas
Dear Marmite, at this time of year Pietermaritzburg really is beautiful with all the jacaranda trees in full bloom, but nothing will be as beautiful as the smile on my Mum’s face if I make it home in time for Christmas.

Marmite, Making History in Maritzburg
For the first time in nearly 150 years (yes, even older than Marmite!), a new condiment has been added to the range at the legendary, Maritzburg College ‘Zarm Farm’ – a truly momentous occasion!

Hello, My name is NOT Enna
Dear Marmite No, my name is not Enna but due to the way Kiwis pronounce their vowels slightly differently , it is not uncommon for confusion to occur especially over the phone. My dear friend and fellow kiwi, Enna here also experiences similar difficulties with the English. Marmite I would love just to pronounce my name without ridicule and also throw in togs, mufti, kumara and stoked just for good measure. Don’t even get me started on the whole fair/fear debate! Luckily with Marmite there is no confusion!
22 October 10 at 4:48am
buah ha ha, Hi Enna! I am soooooooo with you on wanting to get home to not be given a piece of paper when I want pepper, to be able to get a glass of water (worta) and of course some good old fashioned fush'n'chups with Whitlocks tomato chutney!!! Have a great day!

My Waka and Me
Dear Marmite I am not going to pretend to be some crash hot surfer, but I do enjoy giving it a go on my Dad’s old board which is almost as old as you. Nothing beats a paddle at Waipatiki followed by Burger Fuel on the way home. Marmite, here in South Africa I am faced with two very real problems, firstly no board as my waka is waiting patiently for me in my Mum’s garage, Havelock North. And secondly, I have enough added dangers worry about here without adding sharks to the list. Please Marmite, let me attempt to hang 10 for Christmas!

When in Rome
Due to my late start, I have been making a comprehensive study of African political persuasive techniques to try and boost my voter-ship. Leah and her team were quick to introduce me to the art of back scratching, and as a result my votes began to slowly climb. Then I realised what was missing – incentives. These kiwi treats may not quite meet Naomi Campbell’s standards, but here’s hoping they swing a few more my way. . .

Always a place for you guys when you visit NZ but I think you would be better suited to a one way ticket!

The lengths I go to to keep my Marmite safe!
Dear Marmite, here in South Africa a great deal of security is needed to keep the daily essentials like Marmite safe - bars on doors and windows, alarms, fences and dogs like Jason here. Fly me home for a bar free Christmas Marmite and Jason is happy to pop over to Jo’burg and keep John Mitchell safe for summer.

Out of Africa - and home for Christmas!
Now picture this, the wee’est Kiwi, stuck in Darkest Africa, at the mercy of the fiery natives! Don’t get me wrong, as you will have seen during the World Cup, South Africa is a pretty vibrant, awesome place, but jislaaikit (don’t ask!) - I need a break! And for crying out loud, it’s almost strawberry season in Hawke’s Bay!!
As you will see, life here is a touch different to home, the only thing that tastes remotely the same, is marmite...

Dear Marmite, what a wonderful competition! After leaving NZ midway through 2008 and not being home since, I had promised myself that this year I would make it home for Christmas . . . that was until I saw the prices for Christmas flights out of Africa. I was feeling very sorry for myself until my dear Mum alerted me to this wonderful competition, where I have met so many amazing people along the way. Happy Birthday Marmite, I would love to celebrate it with you in New Zealand this Christmas xx

Judging
Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.
