While I was in NYC...
So I was in New York City last week and Santa came calling early with gifts - like MARMITE!!! Here's a pic of me & Santa. Who said politicians are a bunch of good for nothings?

Would you believe... 1. Massey University Alumni meeting in New York City on 9/9! 2. Hob-nobbing with Steve Maharey, former Minister of Social Development and current Vice-Chancellor of Massey University 3. Half a kilo of Marmite!!! So I took the bus to NYC to the Massey Alum do, met more Kiwis in 2 hours than I'd seen in 20 years in Philadelphia, AND returned home with 1/s kilo of MARMITE!!!!!! Now that's what I call a great day!

Marmite Alert!
Alright, its desperate times here... we are ot of Marmite. My American born kids actually like it too - so less for me. But there's trouble in Paradise... my kids have been exposed to that evil Aussie poser, Vegemite! Their wicked Australian cousins are threatening to ship quantities of the V-word to them so we need your help - SEND MARMITE NOW!!!!!

Bye Bye American Pie
Help me come home! I went to America in 1990 to do my Masters degree. I work as a foster care social worker in Philadelphia. On the 25th of August 2010 I chalked up TWENTY YEARS. Enough of the 'brain drain' - time for me to contribute back home. The photo of me was taken by my Dad by the Manawatu River in May 2010. This was the first time he had seen my youngest kid who is almost 7 and he hadn't seen my other two since 2003! This has got to stop. I need my kids to know who the whanau is...

Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.
