Megan Sargent - Winner !
New Marmite Lover
What could be more perfect. A new baby enters the world to become a Marmite fan just like us and even more special she shares a birthday with my late dad. Welcome Juno and congrats to her amazing parents Carmel and Courtney. To my amazing sister thankyou for all your post and votes, Gray is the luckiest little guy to have a mum like you and I can't wait to meet him xxxxx
Arohanui my sister.
The last entry?????
I know I said the last one was the last one but hey, I'm a girl and we change our minds. I have to keep fighting to the last second to win by place on that plane. These pics are of the most important people in my life, the only person missing is my mum but she is a bit like me - camera shy. It would mean the world to me if I got to meet my newest nephew for the first time and to see the rest of the family again.

Hard to say goodbye
Marmite, this has been blast. What am I going to do with my time now. This has been so much fun so THANKYOU so much coming up with such a great competition. One of the things that stands out for me is even though we are all in competition with each other we are voting for one another and really hoping that those that deserve it make it home. We have all had things happen in our lives while we have been away from NZ - births, deaths, marriages, break-ups, it is hard being away but you know it is the little things that count. Knowing our families and friends are just a phone call away and getting those great care parcels from mum. Peanut slabs, tim tams, minties and of course MARMITE. From the bottom of my heart Thankyou for making life away from home that little bit easier.
And to everyone who has cast a vote my way - you rock. See you 's on the plane out of Dublin!!!! x
Go raibh maith agat, sábháilte sa bhaile
(Thank you and safe home)

1910
There were some pretty great things going on in the world in 1910............
Mother Teresa was born
Jacques Cousteau was born
Hanna (creator of Yogi Bear and Flintstones) was born
The Earth passed thru the tail of halley's Comet
Yellow Cab is founded
The Boy Scouts of America are founded
The first under-arm bowlg is introduced into Cricket
BUT, the best thing to happen in 1910.....
MARMITE WAS BORN - AND THE WORLD BECAME A BETTER PLACE. THANKS MARMITE

Hi Megan, well the trauma you all must have suffered without your Marmite must have been tough on you guys! And I only hope the sun shone for you as a break away without marmite and without sunshine would be difficult to overcome! However Christmas in New Zealand is just the tonic you need Megan.Vote 285 for you today.

I missed my marmite
Well!!! Took the family away for a few days down country as it is mid-term break and I forgot to pack the marmite. All I can say it 'WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!!'. Both kids started giving out in the car that they were hungry, stopped as some dodgy service station and got a sandwich that looked like it was made the year my eldest was born - that was 2005! Needless to say they were not impressed. As anyone with kids will know you have to come prepared and I was most definately not prepared. I usually have the marmite sandwichs and the bags of crisp packed and ready to go but in my rush to start our little holiday I forgot. NEVER again Marmite- never again. This is just another reason why I need to come home. The kids are now both addicted to the jars of black magic and my mum cannot afford to keep posting it over. The plan is to bring an empty suitcase with me so I can load it up with MARMITE.
Just in Case
Hey Marmite, Got my new passport this week just ready for when you give me the good news that I'M COMING HOME!!!!!!

Call me Loyal Marmite
I can't remember last time I thanked you
For keeping my taste buds alive
Too much of Marmite just isn't enough
If i could have more Marmite I'd be laughing
And I love you tender, but we must have some more
Keeping you on my toast is a must have.
And if it were different -did you know it ain't
Lets get on with it Marmite
And call me loyal - I'm your loyalist fan
You know I'm loyal - loyal to the bitter end
Call me loyal - I'll never stray away
And I am loyal, keep it Marmite!!!
Out in the land of the long white cloud
Where does allegiance lie
Sometimes when all of your butter and all of your toast
Are to bare to mention without their Marmite
And all of us anxious, but why can't we have
Marmite every-day
Oh and why are we waiting - waiting for what?
The plane to land with the Marmite.
And call me loyal - I'm your loyalist fan
You know I'm loyal - loyal to the bitter end
Call me loyal - I'll never stray away
And I am loyal - and I am here to say
PLEASE BRING ME HOME MARMITE

Well they have chopped down the pines at Kai Iwi! Will be Gray's first year camping this year and would love you to be there for that! Imagine the little dude possibly crawling if not walking around in the kitchen tent in his wee boardies armed with his Marmite soilders at breakfast, marmite smeared all over his adorable face!! Then it's down to the lake for a swim to wash it all off in between water fights and sand castle building. See you at Xmas - we don't want you having a white xmas with snow, we want you home to have a white xmas with the silica sands at the beach!!!!!!!!!

Well - Gray is now onto stage 2 solids and won't be long until he is getting stuck into the contents of this jar rather than just using it as a teething toy. By the time SANITARIUM fly you home you can teach me to make the marmite rusks too!! If his growth to date is any indication he will a big boy so the addition of MARMITE into his diet will only increase this no doubt. Lovely chubby legs to kiss all over - he is a delight and we can't wait for you to meet him. He truely is O for awsome!!!!

The Story so Far..........
So I left NZ (but I left a piece of my heart) back in June 2002.With all my pocession packed into my pack I set off on my OE. First port of call was L.A for 3 weeks to visit an only friend and then onto Dublin, Ireland. Hooked up with another kiwi and we got an apartment in the city centre and as it usually works out we ended up with about 8 or 10 people in our 2 bed flat most nights. Fellow kiwis travelling through, mates of mates or just random strangers looking for a roof over their head. The craic was mighty and the memories pricelss. After 6 months I meet a tall handsome Irishman and the rest as they say is history. We have now been married 5 1/2 years and we have 2 fantastic kids. As much as I love my life here in Ireland I do of course miss NZ and my family. A trip home for christmas would be amazing, to get to see my new nephew and join in his first christmas, what a joy.
1 October 10 at 7:35pm
11yrs & 10mths ago, Megan became an aunty for the 1st time. Her not so little nephew Cole was born the day after her birthday. She was a huge part of his life. She was the one that told us how to make our own teething rusks with good old MARMITE spread on toast & baked in the oven. What a TREAT! She was there for Coles 1st steps & saw how quickly he grew. Then in 2000, she became an Aunty again with another little nephew named Sam. A cheeky little mite who loves MARMITE! But in 2002 she moved to Ireland. She has since had her own little angels thus leaving 2 aunties in NZ pining after them. While she's been there, her 2 nephews grew to 4 & a niece - the most recent addition - little Gray only 6mths old. PLEASE, PLEASE MARMITE bring our sister & aunty home to be with us, her family. Cole & Sam are now 11 & 10 & growing up so fast & Aunty Megan needs to be a part of this! Please bring her home so she's not in a LAND, FAR, FAR AWAY!

Marmite National Anthem
God of Marmite hear my pleas
Take me home I'm on my knees
With my family I must be
The land of the long white cloud I must see
Over here the sun won't shine
Christmas in -8, well thats not fine
To my whanau I must go
And take me away from all this snow
Christmas Turkey ain't so bad
Missing mums cooking makes me sad
Being away from those I love
I miss their warmth like a comfy old glove
Marmite on Vogel's, now thats a treat
And walking around in our bare feet
I need to feel the sun on my face
So please let me win this fantastic race

Hey everyone, was looking at the news today on line and check out all the snow. Hope all the whanau are ok and no one comes to any harm. Keep warm and hope to see you at christmas xxx
Do you know what.....
You know Marmite, I have been having a look at some of the other entries and hats off to some of them, they are fantastic. I love all the pics of jars of Marmite in all these great places around the world. The only thing is, the only place on earth that marmite is at its best is in NZ. It has to has to be eaten with real NZ butter and toasted vogels bread. I have tried it over here in Ireland with irish butter and bread but it just does not compare!!!! I have to get home to satisfy my craving (oh my god I sound pregnant), please please Marmite answer a little kiwi's wish xxx

I have just spent a few hours on the river bank catching whitbait. Megan lovers her marmite but also loves NZ whitebait. If she cant get home to eat them her sister and sister inlaw will have to fight for them, so pleeeeeese send her home

Yo, Saniatrium - listen up.I am the wonderful baby Gray who my aunty wants to meet - just look at me, its no wonder right!! One of my favourite toys is actually my mums marmite jar. She now has to come & pry it out of my hands when she has her breakfast. Can't wait till I get stronger & I can start weight training with the bigger jar - bring it!!!! So bring back my aunty so we can fight over my toy together (but I will win cause I am a cute as marmite baby).

Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.
