My Checklist
Hi folks. I was getting worried that the date Mr NZ Marmite tells us if we’ve got a ticket (or not) is going to be enough time (or not) to do all the things I need to do to ensure I arrive in Auckland with all the other winners on Wed 8th Dec ... so I’ve done myself a checklist with some critical dates. I will need 2 more days notice, however, the good news is that Bill ‘n Judi have told me I will be travelling whether or not Mr NZ Marmite provides me with a ticket or not. Bill seems to think that Mr NZ Marmite would never really buy a ticket for a dog ... but ... I thought they would ... and I’m sure that all the people voting for me thought so too. If you believe then, please continue voting for me. I can’t wait to see my Mum again. She’ll come up to Auckland from Palmerston North to pick me up.

The Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest
Talking about walks and looking at Marcus’s Bach on the Rotorua Lakes made me recall one of the best parts of living in Rotorua; being close to Whakarewarewa Forest. I used to take Bill, KC & Raven for walks in the forest at least once or twice per week. We had our favourites. We started walking on the Redwood tracks but because there were too many “people” (Bill made us stay on our leads) we gradually worked our way further and further out into the real forest out by the mill. This is where the Sulphur City marathon runners do a lot of their training. There are kilometres & kilometres of good forest roads and tracks. MTB paradise! We had lots of fun in the forest. Raven got lost once. She was just a puppy and took off after a rabbit. Bill had to go home to get reinforcements to come back to find her. The best times were when we all got lost. We’d come out of the forest kilometres from where Bill thought we were. All good! I loved it and I want to go back to New Zealand to live so my Mum & Rob can take me walking in forest near Palmy.

Give it a go. Yes Jared. English garage with no sealed concrete floor – just gravel. Anything in there over winter gets damp and covered with mildrew. Yuk! Correct Kirsty. Collioure,
If this place had a flag mast on the hill it could have been Russell in the Bay of Islands. Lots of artists in the back streets. This picture is back in New Zealand. KC is the border collie. Raven the rottie and that's me on the right ... waiting to come inside to get some Marmite
20 September 10 at 6:00am
KC had to stay in New Zealand because she was too old to travel. She was adopted by Mandy in Picton. She really loved it there because she got to live a life of luxury; going to the beach every day so she could scratch in the sand at the beach. Digging tunnels to find the Marmite.

Ye Old Sea Captain ...
I asked this old sea captain if he could take me back to New Zealand ... He's got a heart of stone ... wouldn't even talk to me ... besides he's got no Marmite

If he was a real sea-faring man Sash - he'd eat Marmite - bite him on the leg & test his reaction ....

Yearning Kiwis at "Another Place"
Check out this chap at this place called "Another Place". ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_Place ). 100 of these Kiwis with their jars of Marmite standing on the beach yearning to go back to New Zealand. That's Bill in his Northland jersey. He's so old - he thinks that Ted Griffin is still the Coach and goes on about scissor movements by the Going brothers - Super Sid, Brian & Ken. I have to keep reminding him not to call them North A.....! (sorry I just can't say it but you know - jaffaland - of the luvin' kind) Chur Cuz !!
10 October 10 at 6:45am
Hi Cherie, This isn't too far from South Manchester where we live and we love to take our kiwi visitors to this beach without telling them about the sculptures - just to see how long it takes them to notice. Quite funny at times. Is that NZ humour or what?

Are naked people covered in marmite quite common over there?

Paris for Xmas 2009
Not like a Kiwi Xmas at all! Look at that old tower thingy! We have one of those back in Jaffa-land that's 4M taller and 108 years younger ... didn't need to come here to see one of those.

Hehe, what a BEAUTIFUL wee thing Sash is! Fingers crossed you get to return home pup!! I'll send a vote your way tomorrow x

Another Kiwi Traveller
I'm sure this gezza must be a kiwi ... look he's trying to hide his jar o' marmite. Thanks to Musee d'Orsay -- http://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/home.html ... doesn't it make you homesick.

Corner Diary on Canal Du Midi
Yoo .... Check out this shop on a barge on the canal du midi. Not as good as the diary on the corner back in good ol' Sulphur City. .... aaah mate! Bill thought he'd left me behind at the dog kennels. Dogs 3 - Bill 0

Judi & Bill are off to Capestang again for a week or so ... (I'm going to the nice people at Moss Cottage kennels while they're away.) That's near the Bezier's end of the Canal du Midi. They absolutely love it there ... I think it reminds them of NZ 'cos they love their rugby there. Casoulet & lots of red wine.

Dynamite Marmite
Remember the good old kiwi trailer ... leave it in the backyard ... fill it up with rubbish and take it to the dump! Well that Bill - leaves it right in the middle of our Rotorua backyard - just where we wanted to play - so answer ... Cheesy with a bit o' Marmite .... build up the energy ... put the shoulder in and move it along ... No problem ... Dynamite Marmite !!! Dogs 2 - Bill 0 ---- You seen the apologies they call trailers here in the UK? No contest.
Our backyard in Rotorua
Now this is what I call a backyard. Look lots of exciting things. Totora tree in the background. A peach tree. Even a bit of rusty corrugated iron. That tyre thing was part of KCs agility training set up. She was pretty good at that. We used to jump through that hoop thing but Raven was too fat. That odd looking pakeha is Bill. He thought he was being smart by fencing off a bit of the backyard to put us dogs in ... it didn't work. He only tried it once - the 3 of us escaped. Dogs 1 - Bill 0.

Manchester in Winter
This is what it's like in our backyard in winter in Altrincham UK. If you like cold, wet, cold & wet - well this is for you - not me.
Me & my old buddy Raven
Raven & I playing football in the backyard with Bill & Judi. They don't even have decent lawns here! (or is Bill just lazy ... )
Sash Tapp
Woof woof woof (Yoo ... What's up Cuz! )
... How can a-not-so-young puppy feel happy when Bill puts a jar of English Marmite next to me.
I've been here in Manchester (UK) since 2006 when my Mum (Nikki) and her bro (Dan) were living here with Bill & Judi (their parents from Rotorua but originally from Kaikohe in the Far North - BTW - Go the mighty Tanewhas). ...
Unfortunately when Mum's 2 year visa ran out she went back to NZ to do her vet science degree. Mum is now a poor student. (Violins playing dramatically in the back ground).
Even though Bill wouldn't take me to watch Man U at Old Trafford, things were OK while I had my old NZ Rottie-buddy Raven here. She played with me all the time. (I'll upload a video of us playing shortly). Raven, sadly, got the big C about a month ago and has gone to puppy heaven.
Now I am really sad.
I'd like to go back to live with Mum & Rob, her partner. They live on the fringe of Palmy and have got chocks and cats ... things I can chase. ... that has to be lots better than being here in cold wet Manchester - and bets on ... I'll get toast with real New Zealand Marmite as well .... Now that'd make me happy again.

Marmite, pretty please send Sash and Bill home this year for xmas. Pretty much as Kirsty has said, not only have they put so much effort into this page with lots of new and witty posts, they (and their families and supporters) have also been very supportive of us other competitors. They really show the great kiwi spirit of getting in there and helping others. I really look forward to reading Sash's page everyday and also reading the comments written on my page. I really think they deserve to win this flight home.

Oh... Sash, what an adorable page! I can't believe it's taken me this long to stumble across it. Sounds like Sash would love to be able to return to her roots in NZ, lots of wide open spaces to run around in down that way after all. Best of luck Sash, your story makes me well up!! xxx

Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.
