Rae Jensen - Winner !
A Sad Farewell
I really want to thank Sanitarium Marmite for the most enjoyable few weeks I’ve had for a while. I have read such interesting stories and viewed such amazing pics. I have marvelled at people’s imagination and inventiveness. I have visited the site sometimes several times a day, and I am really going to miss those daily doses of Marmite. The competition has highlighted the family values of caring and sharing, support and effort in order to achieve a given goal. It has had people laughing together and has fostered new friendships. What is even more impressive is the way that kiwis scattered across the world have supported each other and have come together to wish each other well. I would also like to thank everyone who has voted for me and wished me well. If I am not one of the lucky 100 I will still feel fortunate because so many of my family and friends showed their love for me by reaching out to try to bring me home.
Thanks again Marmite and happy anniversary!

Marmite Eat It
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CKlFp4bst8
Words to the above video which we can't upload.
Sung to the tune of "Beat It"
Have you heard of Marmite it’s the spread for our clan
Marmite’s so delicious, Of Marmite I’m a fan
Don't you know that Marmite’s even a hit in Japan
So eat it, just eat it (prrr)
Don't wanna argue, I don't wanna debate
Other sandwich spreads aren’t nearly so great
Marmite goes around the world and even interstate
So eat it,
Just eat it, eat it ,
Put Marmite with spinach and beat it
Marmite with chicken, Marmite with pie
It doesn't matter , if it’s broiled or fried
Just eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it
eat it, eat it, eat it, eat it, ooh
You better listen, better do what you're told ooh
Marmite’s very tasty with your tuna casserole ooh
You better chow down or it's gonna get cold
So eat it

Kiwi Rae and the Marmite Trail
We siblings four
We ask for no more
Than for Marmite to bring our Sis home for Chris’
Fifty years have passed when of father she asked
Permission to go and explore cross Pacific to Canada’s shores
“Ho Hum” he said as he picked up the bread with Marmite spread
Ready to quiet her once more
Friend Heather said ”Come”
Rae said “Yum Yum”
Snatched up the bread, Marmite ‘n all and shot through the door!
Bye, Bye to us oldies with bag on her shoulders departed for Canada’s shores
Well, two years went by we’re all on a high waiting for Sis to return with her tales
Shock, Horror, Uh Oh, and many loud wails
A Viking had called with temptations more
Took the bag! Took the Marm! and took Sis to his shores!
Siblings four – so happy for Rae but did dreadfully miss little Sis
We know her Marm frailty
So joined Sanitarium to bring home the KIWI,
To share with her Iwi –
Sanitarium Marmite more.
So sadly this year Rae’s Viking said “Cheers” and set sail on his last lonely trip
Now Rae has to clear jars supplied through the years
‘n’ set forth once more to explore with a rip
So Marmite you’ve given our Sis Kiwi strength
From sprog with a mighty right hook
To adventures not just from a book
She says! “Marmite’s alright! Been with me in tight ...... situations and on vacations,
Keeps me fit, keeps me trim, always wanting a win” So give her a chance to lead us a dance in a Merry Mostly Marmite Christmaas!
Sanitarium hear our plea undo the locks
BRING HOME THE KIWI RAE!!!!!
(if just to replenish her stocks!)

Christmas
Thanks to those people who are voting for me. I have had 38 consecutive christmases in Norway now and it would be wonderful to experience a Kiwi one. I have not completely forgotten the taste of roast lamb (complete with gravy made from marmite) and pavlova with kiwifruit on top. I have a big family in NZ, some members I have never seen.

Sure, you may have 100,000 facebook friends to vote for you but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re on the plane. It’s a quality, then quantity rule round here. We’ll be making our decision based on originality and creativity, how well your entry fits with the values of the Marmite brand, then popularity.

Thanks Marmite for creating an opportunity for so many New Zealanders abroad in the big wide world beyond NZ's shores to dream fondly of a trip home - and for some lucky ones there will be the realisation of that trip back! To see the support that your competition has created is indeed a miracle and shows the generous NZ spirit and brotherhood which abounds wherever there are New Zealanders. Best of luck to the wee one, Rae - we're for you! Gwen, David, Sharon and Liz
